Page, Arizona is more than an outfitter town for ground or raft-trips into the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Page is also the gateway to Lake Powell, where one can boat, loll on a houseboat, take a flight over the lake, or explore such scenic delights as Rainbow Bridge National Monument and Navajo National Monument to the south within the adjoining Navajo Reservation; here are preserved the largest and finest cliff dwellings, dated in the 13th Century. To the east towards the Four Corners area are red sandstone monoliths at Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. The local airport is Page Airport (PGA).
