Hesperia, California is a sizable Mojave Desert town 35 miles north of San Bernardino and just southwest of Victorville at the intersection of I-15 and US 395. Hesperia came into being for railroads passing through the Cajon Pass on the way to Southern California. It is now growing because of its low home prices. Some people stay here on their way to Mountain High Ski Area at Wrightwood/Big Pines.
