Kauai Sands Hotel is located on the beach in Kapaa's Wailua neighborhood, close to Kealia Beach and Lydgate Beach Park. Other points of interest are Wailua Falls and Iraivan Temple.

Recreational amenities include 2 outdoor swimming pools. Also located on site is a fitness facility. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is available in public areas (surcharges apply). Self parking is complimentary. Additional property amenities include a rooftop terrace, gift shops/newsstands, and laundry facilities.
