Richland, Washington Hotels

Richland, Washington, one of the Tri-cities, is located in southeastern Washington near the confluence of the Columbia, Snake, and Yakima rivers. At the one-time hamlet of Richland federal dams made it a home for swarms of scientists in the development of the atomic bomb. Today Richland is home for today for 30,000 high-tech workers of the DOE drawn here by needs for enormous amounts of electricity from turbines on those federal dams. Tourism is a big business too as well as visitors to Richland's high-tech industries. The area is served by the Tri-cities Airport (PSC).
